“After I got through the doors the rain went sideways. I turned around and there was a tornado. It was right there, tearing down these branches. It picked up and moved my car, flipped it sideways and backwards against these trees.”
— Myrl Wallace, 58, of Boulder Creek, whose pickup truck was battered by a freak tornado that roared through Scotts Valley in the Santa Cruz Mountains on Dec. 14 where he had gone shopping at the Target store.
