Officers were called to the Los Alamitos Creek Trail, near Camden Avenue and Graystone Lane, for a report of a stabbing just before noon on Dec. 22, according to a spokesperson for the San Jose Police Department.

The suspect stabbed the victim at least once from behind, the spokesperson said, adding that “the victim’s injuries were later determined to be non-life-threatening.”

The spokesperson said the suspect left the scene before officers arrived and has not been identified.

“The motive and the circumstances are under investigation,” the spokesperson said.

Anyone with information related to the case can contact the police department at 408-277-4161.
