The crash was reported south of Highway 84, the California Highway Patrol said in a social media post. Dispatch logs indicated it happened around 5:30 p.m. and involved two cars.

All lanes of Highway 35 were closed following the crash and did not reopen until 10 p.m., according to the logs.
