Police seeking tips in East Bay shooting that wounded woman

ANTIOCH — Investigators are seeking tips to help them find the person who fired the shots that critically injured a woman Wednesday, police said.

Officers responded to the area of E. 6th Street and A Street about 7:15 a.m. and found the 47-year-old down with more than one bullet wound, according to a statement from Antioch police Lt. William Whitaker.

Police provided aid to the woman at the scene until medics and an ambulance arrived. She remained hospitalized in stable condition, police said.

Police did not identify any suspects or provide any details about what they believe may have happened.
