
Bay Area News Group athlete of the week: Alanna Clincy, Willow Glen softball
Willow Glen softball player Alanna Clincy is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for March 17-22.
In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Clincy finished with 41.49% of the vote. Notre Dame-San Jose lacrosse player Mary Rangel took second, and Mt. Pleasant softball player Leah Gonzales was third.
Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.
Clincy, a junior, pitched a two-hitter in the circle, striking out 10 as Willow Glen shut out Branham 5-0.
