Bike skills workshops
Registration is coming up for Cupertino’s annual Middle School Bike Skills summer workshops. In this one-day workshop, young bike riders gain confidence by learning the rules of the road, practicing bike handling skills and putting it all into practice during a group neighborhood ride.
Workshops are set for Sundays, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., on June 8, June 22, Aug. 10 and Aug. 24. Sign-ups start four weeks in advance. One parent or guardian is required to attend with each student. Students and guardians both need to bring a bike and helmet.
Cupertino Safe Routes to School is presenting the workshops in collaboration with Wheel Kids.
The workshops will be held at the Cupertino Senior Center, 21251 Stevens Creek Blvd. For more information and to register, visit cupertino.gov/saferoutes/msbs. Financial assistance is available upon request.
