BART closes San Bruno station following major medical emergency

SAN BRUNO — The morning commute on BART was interrupted early Tuesday after a person entered the trackway, resulting in a major medical emergency, officials said.

BART spokesperson Anna Duckworth did not specify the emergency but said the agency closed the San Bruno station following the incident. The emergency happened around 5:30 a.m.

The delay is affecting trains moving in the Antioch, Richmond and San Francisco Airport directions.

SamTrans provided bus service between the South San Francisco and Millbrae stations.
