
Oakland: Two men shot Tuesday afternoon
OAKLAND — Two men were shot on Franklin Street Tuesday afternoon, according to the Oakland Police Department.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. near the 1400 block of Franklin Street, authorities said.
Officers were in the vicinity when the gunshots were heard and located the two male victims, authorities added. The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. The conditions of the victims were not immediately known.
The two victims and possibly other people were involved in a confrontation before the shooting, authorities said. Police have not yet said what the confrontation was about. No arrests have been announced.
