San Jose: One dead, two injured in overnight Tully Road crash

SAN JOSE — One person died and two people were seriously injured when their car hit a tree off Tully Road early Wednesday, police said.

The crash was reported around 1:50 a.m. in the 800 block of Tully Road, in front of the Tully Community Branch Library, according to San Jose police.

Three people were rushed to a hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead, police said.

Details about the circumstances of the crash were not immediately available Wednesday. Police closed eastbound Tully Road between Galveston Avenue and Senter Road for nearly six hours while traffic investigators examined the site.
