New exhibit at New Museum Los Gatos explores ‘skewed perspectives’

Skewed perspectives at NUMU

Artist Carly Slade’s exhibit depicting miniature vignettes of real-world buildings will be on display Friday, Feb. 7-Sunday, June 15, at New Museum Los Gatos.

“In the Artist’s Studio: Carly Slade” includes structures that are designed to depict the “skewed perspectives” of digital map depictions of real-life buildings. “Her re-creation of the digital viewpoint in our physical space increases our curiosity about these humble, time-ravaged buildings, allowing us to imagine their bright beginnings and the variety of conditions that led to their demise,” a press release on Slade’s exhibit reads.
