Man yells ‘Hands up!’ in Los Gatos bank

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: 12:32 p.m. at Wells Fargo Bank on Los Gatos Boulevard. A man entered the bank and yelled “Hands up! Freeze,” and then said “Ha ha, just kidding.” He stood in line but eventually left.

One dead in shooting at VTA yard Friday evening

JUVENILE DISTURBANCE: 9:27 p.m. on Pinehurst Avenue. A caller told police that three juveniles have been “terrorizing” her house, covering it in toilet paper for two nights in a row. One of them had also been bulling her daughter.

PETTY THEFT: 11:42 a.m. at Valero on Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. The store’s ice cream machine was broken into.

PETTY THEFT: 6:47 p.m. at Safeway on Union Avenue. An employee said a bottle of wine had been stolen.

Sept. 16

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: 6:12 p.m. at Weldwood Court and Castlewood Drive. A caller reported two young males in the area, one of whom was riding a scooter. The caller was worried they may have been “porch pirates.”
